Employability and competences in the geospatial sector for tomorrow professionals

Resumen

The current paper reflects on the lack of professionals in the European
sector of Geoinformatics and Earth Observation, through the
analysis of the sectoral demand, the existing training offer and the
definition of occupational profiles. The European project EO4GEO
works to analyse the growing need of professionals in these sectors
and to define guidelines to align the demand of professionals with
existing or training strategies and programs to design.
