Abstract

The Permanent Committee on Cadastre in Ibero-America (CPCI)
is an international forum that groups together institutions with
cadastral land functions in the Ibero-American region and
promotes the exchange of experiences in terms of registration,
valuation and taxation of lands. After twelve years of experience
since its foundation, this article proposes a critical reflection on
its performance, the results achieved and its vision of the future
considering the global context of increasing demand for natural
resources, the financialization of agricultural production, rapid
urbanization and the international and national efforts to eradicate
poverty.
